For the past 3 months we’ve been lucky enough to have the hep of OFN intern Raph, who has been working hard to help us set up our new Click and Collect and Home Delivery Service. Without her this new chapter in the Cultivate story would not have been possible so we’d just like to say a huge thanks to her and wish her well as she returns to her studies in France. Here’s a few words from Raph with a bit more about what she’s been up to.
I’m Currently in a Master’s degree in France and really interested in social and solidarity economy and, of course, in sustainable food. That’s why this year I decided to find an internship in accordance with my beliefs and expectations. Open Food Network UK gave me the opportunity to realise my internship in their organisation.
I’ve been living in Oxford for the past 3 monthsto help Cultivate to set up an online service for customers to order local produce. I’m also carrying out research work about food hubs for OFN France. This internship has been a very good experience which confirms my professional project. It brings me very practical experience to build a more innovative and sustainable society. I’ve learned about the problems of the current food system but also about how to provide a more sustainable alternative to this system.
Moreover, I really like the city of Oxford : I had a great time here, there are many places to discover.
The OFN and Cultivate team have supported my work and trusted me, so I would like to thank them for this enriching internship. I was really happy to be involved in your project and I hope you will be satisfied with your new online service !
