We are pleased to announce that as of the 23rd August 2017 they will now be regularly stopping outside Florence Park community pub, The Jolly Postboys, every Wednesday 3pm-7pm.
Residents of the Florence Park area will now be able to stock up on locally grown, ethically and organically produced, fresh and seasonal produce from the Cultivate VegVan each week.
Less than 1% of food consumed in Oxfordshire is actually being produced in the county. Cultivate aims to address this by working with local growers, farmers and producers to collect the best fresh food the county has to offer and bring it to the people of Oxford each week.
This new stop in the Florence Park area will also act as a collection point for Cultivate’s new click and collect service which enables customers to order produce online in advance and simply drop by their nearest stop and collect at their convenience.
“For us, opening the Jolly Postboys was about being part of the community here in Florence Park, bringing a place to relax, have a drink and something great to eat. Now with Cultivate visiting us each week the good people of Florence Park will have access to local fresh vegetables on their door step, as well as being able to share a bit of gossip over a carrot. Food is the glue that binds communities.” – Drew Brammer, Manager at the Jolly Postboys.
“With the launch of this new stop we’re hoping to make it even easier for people to get their hands on truly local, ethical and delicious fresh produce. We’re really looking forward to working with the team at the Jolly Postboys and have some exciting plans for collaborating to make this new location a real community and local food hub.” Katie Herring, Sales and Marketing manager for Cultivate.
