This September, Cultivate are partnering with local chef Jack Greenall of Smoke and Thyme to present their ‘Bring the Harvest Home’ campaign, a fantastic series of special offers, events, recipes and tastes that celebrates the best local, ethical and delicious produce of the season.
The highlight of the campaign will be two very special Pop-Up Restaurant nights at the Restore Garden Cafe taking place on the 14th and 21st October and coinciding with the Oxford Food and Drink Festival Fringe. Curated and created by Smoke and Thyme, each night will feature a 7 course vegetable tasting menu made with the best seasonal fruit and veg. Although the menu is completely suitable for vegetarians, we want to bring the delicious possibilities of harvest produce to everyone. Which is why we’re encouraging vegetarians to bring a non-veggie friend along to show them how fresh, seasonal vegetables can be the star of a meal.
On top of this, every week through September-November 2016, Cultivate will be celebrating at each of their VegVan and Market Stops by offering seasonal recipes, free tasters, chances to win harvest hampers and by selling the best local ethical and delicious produce Oxfordshire has to offer. We’ll also be proudly popping up in their trusty VegVan at the Botley Food Festival on Saturday 17th September, The Earth Trust Autumn Water Festival on Sunday 2nd October, Barracks Lane Harvest Festival on Saturday 8th October and at the Oxford Food & Drink Festival Sunday 16th October.
The ‘Bring The Harvest Home’ campaign will showcase all the fabulous seasonal produce available in our local area and encourage people to make the most of it at this time when it’s at it’s best and brightest. With so many exciting things planned in the coming weeks it will be easy for everyone in Oxfordshire to enjoy the season and truly ‘Bring The Harvest Home’.
