Huge thanks to everyone who came to the launch of our community share offer on Monday night. We were overwhelmed by the response we received and had to lay on an extra session of the presentation in order to fit everyone in! The evening marked the official opening of Cultivate’s community share investment window, which runs for three months from 16 January to 16 April (although a few very keen investors managed to get their applications in online earlier in the day!). Just the start of great things to come, we hope!

Each presentation was followed by a short question and answer session during which members of the public asked for clarification or details on particular aspects of Cultivate. We’re going to compile a list of some of the questions that came up to include in an FAQ section on the web site. Discussions continued afterwards over a glass of chilled Oxfordshire wine from Bothy Vineyard, with apple juice from Waterperry Orchard just down the road. We also had a few copies of the business plan on hand to look through.

If you didn’t manage to make it along to the launch, we’ll also be at Green Drinks at the King’s Arms in Oxford on 25th Jan (from 6.30 on) and the Sustainable Supper on the 26th (sign up soon, places are limited this month because of change of venue from temporarily closed Vaults and Garden to Woodstock Rd Deli)… or just get in touch. All of the documents are also available on the web site, including the Share Offer Document, application form and business plan.

Finally, many thanks to the inimitable Turl Street Kitchen and staff at the Oxford Hub for hosting the event and providing such a great space to be in.
